I need help with how to word my points
What have you got so far? Can you post it?
Also I'm not sure but isn't the current RAH site being turned into a school?
Yes, I think that's what the labour government plans.
So if they are planning building the school doesn't that mean there is sufficient need for it to be there?
I dont know precisely where they're up to with it but either way we need to argue that it's a good thing.
Thanks mr E
I think I have enough to go on now. Is there are meeting tomorrow morning?
Yes - see you @ 8 :-)

proximity to the Botanic Gardens, two universities, Adelaide Zoo and the new hospital and research centre. " - Jay Weatherill
Thanks Ruby sorry to you Hallie I have had an extremely busy weekend will be posting my speech soon.
Here is my speech (Please note that this has not been edited of refined yet so some things may not make sense) -Ruby I hope I got your points right please let me know if I need to change them.
Good afternoon Mr/Madam Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen. The topic for our debate is that That the old RAH site should be used as a school. We the affirmative team believe that this statement is correct.
The first speaker of the Negative team has stated that...
Of course this statement is false because...
This speaker also stated that...
This statement is also false...
Ruby our first speaker has stated that a school would be able to supply an schooling environment such as the Australian Maths and Science School to the masses with more possibilities with the array of amazing facilities. Ruby also stated that this school unlike the current Maths and Science school will allow students of all backgrounds and capabilities achieved with the help of varied facilities and subjects available.
Today as the second affirmative speaker I will be talking to you about the need of a new school readily available for the growing community of students throughout the Adelaide CBD and surround suburbs. I will also be talking about how with the close access to the Adelaide University, the school will be open to a vast array of unique subjects and possibilities.
My first point is that the already existing Adelaide High School is located on an aging campus with limited facilities and possibilities is an indicator of a need for a better education campus.
As I stated Adelaide High is positioned on an aging campus, and as of 2007 the school was listed under the Australian Historic Housing Trust. The school contains an array of historic buildings which should be protected before more damage to these structures occurs. The process would require the relocation of the school which consists of some 1216 students. With the relocation of this school consisting of students living throughout the Adelaide CBD and surrounding suburbs, would be suited to the already existent old RAH site. The old RAH site already consists of a vast array of usable facilities including toilets, elevators, rooms as well as functioning electrical and plumbing facilities. The old RAH site is already readily available for use. With the work of some new design and refurbishment the soon to be Old RAH could be a bursting and lively school.
To my second point, the old Royal Adelaide Hospital is located in a close vicinity of major educational facilities that have possibilities supplying an innovative and vast array of subjects and studies for the students.
With the Adelaide University in close vicinity, the use of the vast array of specialised facilities would be possible. Including Lecture theatres, chemical, nuclear and medical scientific facilities. With the state library and museum as well as close access to the botanical gardens, botanical museum and art gallery, students would receive a vast array of dedicated facilities for a range of subjects including Art, history, science, maths, english, psychology, medicine and computer science.
So Mr/ Madam Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen, in conclusion I know hope you see why the useful Old RAH site should not be put to waste and should be transformed into an education facility, with facilities serving all interests and needs.
Amongst other things, Mr Eaton is a debating coach who loves a good argument.
